Ready to Start

Since Timothy and I moved into the Mueller Airport redevelopment, we have dreamed of a garage apartment. Design guidelines for the neighborhood initially required the next larger lot; only those houses were offered a garage apartment option with initial construction. After multiple neighbors paved the way and a formal change to the Mueller Design Book was accepted, we decided to get serious. Over a year later—in which we worked with an architect, received approval from the Property Owners Association, got building permits, and hired a builder—we emptied the garage. Too bad we forgot to take a before photo, but it was completely filled with two vehicles, multiple bicycles, lawn equipment, tools, and supplies. We're ready for construction!
